Six
Senses Laamu, Maldives being the only one in the Laamu
atoll gives its guests a good time at the breaks. The best wave time
is from April to October especially from June to September. The most
famous break in the atoll is the Yin Yang. The Yin Yang breaks on the
outer reef of Hithadhoo, a local island. It is a right-hander and is
a long outer reed in a pass. The wave bends often cross shore,
because of a mellow wall and wraps into a crucial section in
Maldives. It presents an intimidating bend. Trips can be made to the
Yin Yang break in the mornings and afternoons arranged for by the
resort.
The breaks are safe from winds except for a rare Easterly straight
breeze. The other breaks spots are Jetty C and Petrol Head for
intermediate left-handers, Refugees for experienced left and
right-handers and Machines for experienced right handers.
